Pricing

Simple, honest pricing

Quvito runs on your own machine, so it costs us nothing to run — and it's free, for good. The phone and TV apps are free while we're in alpha, and the only thing we'd ever meter is bandwidth we actually pay for on your behalf. No account, no subscription to watch your own library.

The whole idea: the software is yours — free, and if anything's ever paid it's a one-time price, never a rental. The only thing we'd ever charge monthly for is bandwidth we genuinely spend. No account. No subscription to watch your own library. Ever.
Alpha

Right now, everything is free while Quvito is in alpha — including the features marked "Planned" below. This page is the plan for when Quvito leaves alpha, shared up front so there are no surprises.

Quvito for PC

Available now
Freeforever

The complete app, on your Windows PC. No account, no cloud, nothing held back.

  • Every source — Xtream, M3U, Stalker & your own files, in one library
  • Live TV with full EPG, DVR & series rules
  • Commercial-skip, skip-intro, sports multiview
  • Full music player, family & kids profiles, Trakt, downloads
  • Runs 100% on your machine — no account, no subscription

Android & TV apps

Available now
Freefor now

Your library on the big screen and in your pocket — Android, Android TV & Fire TV, available now and free in the alpha. Whether they cost anything later isn't decided — and if they ever do, it'd be a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

  • Native phone & TV apps that share your library
  • Favorites, history & Continue Watching, synced across devices
  • Second-screen remote & standalone (no-PC) mode

Out-of-home access

Quvito is a small media server on your own network — so reaching it from outside your home works like any server you own. Two ways to do it:

Self-host it

Free

Open one port on your router and reach Quvito from anywhere — your network, your bandwidth, no cost. Works if your ISP gives you a normal connection.

Let us route it Planned

a few $/mo

Don't want to touch your router — or your ISP won't allow it (CGNAT)? Flip one switch and we handle the routing. It costs us real bandwidth every month, so it's the one optional monthly fee. Final price TBD.

Pricing beyond alpha isn't finalized. During alpha, everything above is free.

“Wait — isn't a subscription the thing you rag on Plex for?”

Fair question, and the difference is the whole point. Plex put a recurring fee on reaching your own library — for connections that cost them almost nothing — and took away the free way to do it. We do the opposite:

Pay once for software. Rent only the bandwidth. That's the deal.
